Heather Janis Gaw is an associate in the New York
office of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C., practicing primarily in the
firm’s litigation group.
Heather earned her J.D., from Tulane University Law School in
2008, and was also awarded an Environmental Law Certificate.
While at Tulane, Heather worked as a Student Attorney with the
Environmental Law Clinic, representing community organizations,
lower-income individuals, and local governments on various
issues with regard to the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and
state environmental statutes. She was involved with the Moot
Court, serving as Interschool Appellate Chair, as well as
participating as a Competitor and Coach of Tulane’s
Environmental Appellate Team. She also served as the Speaker
Chair and Day-Of Conference Chair for the Environmental Law
Society throughout her tenure at Tulane.
Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, from the
University of Delaware in 2004, where she was a member of Sigma
Tau Delta- the English Honor Society, and managed the University
of Delaware’s Division I Men’s and Women’s Swim Teams. During
that time, she spent a year abroad studying English Literature
at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford University.
She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and
admitted to practice before the New York courts.
