Justice Thomas A. Dickerson was an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, of the New York State Supreme Court from 2007 until 2017. Prior to that, Justice Dickerson spent 13 years as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court and Presiding Justice of the Tax Certiorari and Eminent Domain Part of the Ninth Judicial District, as a Westchester County Court Judge, a Westchester County Acting Family Court Judge, and a Yonkers City Court Judge. During his 23 years on the Bench, he wrote and published over 200 opinions and dissents.

His areas of concentration are complex civil litigation including class actions, commercial litigation, consumer law and travel law including domestic and international commercial aviation, maritime law, ride and apartment sharing economies, hotel and resort law and the law regarding marketing intermediaries such as internet travel sellers, tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents.

He has written and lectured extensively on these matters as well as in regard to issues concerning tax certiorari and eminent domain. He served his country as a Green Beret and Paratrooper [1963-1966] with service in Vietnam [1965-1966].
