Protection and Litigation

Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. works with companies to develop policies and procedures that enable them to avoid costly, protracted litigation in the areas of employee rights, discrimination and harassment claims and other labor law violations. The Firm has a broad range of experience in connection with claims arising from discrimination based on race, sex, age, national origin and marital status, as well as claims made under the Americans with Disabilities Act, ERISA law and regulations and with respect to claimed violation of civil rights. Our attorneys represent clients before the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board and other administrative tribunals, including various state and city employment relation boards.

Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. represents both individuals and companies in employment contract negotiations and agreements. The Firm can also be relied upon for forceful litigation of employment contract disputes that have not been amenable to resolution through negotiation, mediation or arbitration.

The Firm advises on and performs all legal services in connection with the formulation, implementation and administration of pension and profit-sharing plans and other deferred compensation plans, including, when necessary, the termination of such plans. The Group assists our clients in implementing qualified and non-qualified stock option plans, including employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). In this area, the Firm's services include planning, negotiating and drafting executive compensation packages and executive employment agreement, incentive stock option plans and other ERISA matters.
